When looking at gates, it is important to keep in mind the different information- when you install a gate of your own.

• style of gates: iron, chainlink, farm gate, parking arm
• Single or Double, Swing or Slide Motion
• Length, Height & Weight
• Level of usage: # of cycles in an average day (residential vs commercial)
• Purpose for gates: Cosmetic, security, restrict access
• Are there any obstructions in the area of interest for the gate location ie trees, utility boxes, fencing etc...
• Distance between the gate and the road (Important to have enough distance for a car to safely enter teh driveway and clear the road traffic)
• Distance between gate entrance & building (Important if an intercom is required)
• Is their existing power at the gate location?
